following the official release of their dunk Low, we’re now taking a look at a third Union LA x Nike Cortez colourway that’s expected to drop soon. A collaboration that’s been on our radar because the end of last year, this may just be the most wearable pair of the trio – and here’s everything that you need to know!
Insanely unique, Chris Gibbs’ take on the renowned Cortez is unlike anything we’ve seen before. working on top of a ballistic mesh base that’s painted in pink and yellow sherbet tones, light grey panels wrap around the rest of the upper with bright blue shades adding even more contrast to the shoe.
A Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and the classic Cortez heel is overlaid by another badge that’s embossed with the Los Angeles brand’s signature Frontman logo. ULA’s renowned yellow label is stitched onto the lacing system, and if you look closely at the deubré you’ll find that it’s laser etched with “Cortez ’72”, which harkens back to the year that the legendary silhouette first made its debut.

To round it all off, the insole is crafted from cork and the midsole seems to be constructed from Nike GRIND rubber, kind of like what you’d find on the space Hippie series. While not much else is known about this collab, we predict that sustainability will play a huge role in this particular partnership.
Expected to arrive sometime this summer alongside the “Black” and the “Khaki”, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole provider for much more info on the Union Los Angeles x Nike Cortez “Grey” as it develops. let us know which colourway you’re feeling the most, and in related news, the sacai x Nike Cortez has been officially unveiled!
