The Yeezy 450 has got to be one of Kanye West’s a lot of experimental adidas sneakers to date. first teased all the way back in August 2018, the shoe was, and still is, unlike anything we’ve seen before. While it’s pretty much been radio silence for nearly two years, sneaker insiders Yeezy Mafia are now claiming that it’s expected to launch very soon!
The brainchild of legendary footwear designer Steven Smith, who also serviced the new balance 1500 and the Reebok InstaPump Fury, we caught a brief look of this chunky trainer back in March when Ye was identified rocking a pair during Paris fashion Week. With a full knit upper, the 450, which was originally dubbed the 451, boasts a sock-like design that’s very different when compared to earlier samples.
Seen here in a clean cream hue, thick rope laces tie everything together, while a crazy midsole sits down below. While this has yet to be confirmed, our sources tell us that it could be using adidas Boost, though this hasn’t been set in stone.
The outrageous sharktooth design surrounds the entire outer edge of the shoe, and rounding it all off is a zig-zag rubber outsole that’s as special as it gets, finalising the one-of-a-kind aesthetic.
At this moment in time, not much else is known about the adidas Yeezy 450, but we must expect them to drop sooner rather than later. let us know what you think of these, and while you’re here, you might as well get up close with the original Yeezy improve 350 “Turtle Dove” and suede sample!
